About me
Sherry Thurman is the Mental Health Program Manager at Head Start of San Joaquin. She is a proud Stocktonian, mother, and dedicated educator with 18 years of experience. Fourteen years of her career belong to the classroom as a teacher in underserved communities, followed by three years in a teacher coaches' position with a focus on Social Emotional Learning and Mental Health and Wellness. She embraces her role of supporting staff, families and children; her practices are rooted in compassion, empathy, understanding, connecting and supporting all she is gifted to serve.
